  Named Southwest Ohio Player of the Year, Greater Cincinnati league Player of the Year, and All-City Player of the year in 1997. Served as captain and won team MVP and a 1st Team All State selection. Named All-City in baseball two times and was captain of the track team, too. Named to the North-South All Star team and Ohio-Pennsylvania "Big 33" All Star team

• College:   University of Notre Dame '02.... where he was a captain for the Fighting Irish and helped lead the team to the Fiesta Bowl. Had a career high 12 tackles against Ohio State.
