Oakland Raiders' Ricky Brown Continues ASAP Off Season Regimen/ Podcast

Raiders_logo_6

If you'd like to spend a day in Ricky Brown's shoes...you'd better be in a hurry. He does things fast.... very fast.  Of course, keep in mind, this guy was a track and football star back at Cincinnati Elder High School and it was running times like these that got people to notice:

  • 11.1 in the 100 meter dash
  • 22."something" in the 200 meter
  • 50.6 in the 400m

Oie_brown_action1_2 With that kind of speed and football talent to match it, it was on to Boston College to excel as a starting linebacker with some good friends of his, Nick Larkin (Cincinnati St. X) and Tom Anevski (Elder).... all three, by the way, trained extensively at ASAP~Athletic Strength And Power. And after all the games and bowl appearances ended, it was on to the National Football League. In fact, he's embarking on his third season with the Oakland Raiders. So when he's back in his hometown, don't be surprised to see him working out at ASAP @ The River's Edge. The facilities there include strength training equipment, CORE Training devices, indoor Field Turf athletic fields and, of course the watchful eye of Coach Ted Lambrinides.
In today's podcast, Ricky talks about training camp in Napa Valley, his current workout regimen and some info on his nutrition program where "breakfast is the most important meal of my day". Just click on Ricky's game photo above for the 10 minute interview.

European Professional Basketball Player Chris Ensminger: ASAP Podcast

Brose_baskets

When Chris Ensminger is not working his 6'10" frame towards the basket as a professional player in the EuroLeague, he's usually back home in Cincinnati...or in training at The Workout @ Covington, just across the Ohio River in Kentucky.  ASAP~Athletic Strength And Power has just what "der Grosseman" needs to keep his body in optimal shape for the rigors of pro sports.  In fact, ASAP Director Ted Lambrinides added cambered squat bars to the training regimens at both the facility in Covington and the new facility in Cleves, Ohio (Cincinnati's westside) ASAP @ The River's Edge. The bar has allowed Chris to work the all-important squat exercise to a much increased range of motion.

Oie_asap_logggooo_463_2 Hear all about it in today's ASAP Strength Training Podcast. Just click on the official ASAP PODCAST Logo.

Chris talks about:

  • being a golf teammate of PGA Tour Pro Brett Wetterich
  • some big years and NCAA March Madness experience at Valparaiso University
  • 13 professional seasons... seven years with Bamberg's Brose Baskets
  • 2 season's as German Champions

And also,

She attends Covington, Kentucky's Notre Dame Academy and her comeback from a completely torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) has been nothing but hard work, perseverance and dedication. While many high school kids were spending their summer working at their particular endeavors, at the pool or hanging out with friends, Katie found herself many hours at The Workout @ Covington. "The Workout" is Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky's premier training center for athletes of all levels.

50_boiman_2006_0924_jax_1148_chap Asap_stuff_7_17_06_004 He once starred for the Bombers at Cincinnati St. Xavier High School. In fact, he was selected as a First team All-State (Ohio) Division 1 star. That was before he headed north to South Bend, Indiana where he captained the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.  Today, Rocky Boiman prepares for the ultimate professional football experience.... The Superbowl. A fourth round pick of the Tennessee Titans (2004), the 6'4  235lb hitter also had a brief stay with the Dallas Cowboys before getting picked up by the Indianapolis Colts. 50_boiman_2006_1029_den_604_macht
A consummate professional, Rocky brings 100% to everything he does.....especially training. His off season work is done at The
Workout@Covington, greater Cincinnati's premier athletic training center... just a long pass from downtown Cincinnati and located in Covington, Kentucky. Just a few months ago, Rocky could be seen sweating profusely while sprinting 300, 200 and 100 yard shuttles on the indoor FieldTurf....or going through an intense weight training regimen to prepare his body for the rigors of Sunday afternoon's in The National Football League. Hard work has it's rewards. Have a great Sunday, Rocky!!Asap_014_2
