One of the critical and priority areas of the body is the Torso. There are three major muscle groups that comprise the torso area. One area makes up the upper back and is known as the "Lats", short for the Latin term Latissimus Dorsi. Next, there are the muscles of the shoulder and these are grouped under the term "Deltoid" muscles. There are three sections of this group, the anterior deltoid, the medial deltoid and the posterior deltoid. Finally, the large muscles of the chest region are called the pectoralis muscles....often called the "pecs" as opposed to the longer Latin term. during the next three days, we'll examine the best exercises for developing the muscles of the torso.
