The Athletic Strength And Power program focuses on all the components of fitness and training. Strength, cardiovascular, flexibility, speed, agility, explosion, plyometrics and burst training are the areas that the ASAP program design targets. The coaching staff then implements the course of action that best meets the needs of the particular athlete.... depending on their sport and body...or somatotype.
The Dynamic Warm-up prepares the athlete for all of the physical training and demands that will be put upon the body throughout the workout. Initially, the athlete will perform
- Walking Front Lunges
- Walking Side Lunges
- 3yds jog/ body squat
- Half Speed Jogs
- Backward Runs
- Side Shuffles
- Carioca
These movements place emphasis on allowing proper bloodflow to the musculature that is going to be stressed. For example, the hips and the muscles in that surrounding region, are taken through a wide range of movements that prepare the athlete for the harder work that follows.
