Ted Lambrinides will be "hitting the road" this weekend as the new educational and instructional website that will be known as SkillzLab prepares to take-off. "Professor Ted" will be traveling to at least 7 NFL and major college teams on this venture. NBA star Tracy McGrady is involved, too!

Skillzlab is the newest form of instructional and personal development media dedicated to providing athlete, entertainer, student, parent, entrepreneur and everyday citizen with access to information, instruction, and advice for improving physical and mental well-being and performance, as well as important life Skillz such as team building, goal setting, mental preparation and overcoming adversity.

Heat Awareness Discussion: Doug Calland Head Athletic Trainer Ohio State Football

This summer's heat is starting warm things up. NFL camps open this week and high school and college teams will follow suit soon. Other sports like soccer and cross country know all about these "dog days" too. Coaches, sports trainers and athletes and parents need to be aware and take the proper precautions in order to avoid heat illness.
That's why ASAP~Athletic Strength And Power checked in at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center in Columbus, Ohio and sought out the Head Athletic Trainer of the Ohio State Buckeyes.... Doug Calland for some top notch advice. Check out the video and stay COOL.

Oakland Raiders' Michael Mitchell: Pre-Exhaust Shoulder Strength Training Routine

Former Highlands High School (Ft. Thomas, KY) and Ohio University football star, Mike Mitchell, is now an Oakland Raider, a 2nd round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. As training camp rapidly approaches, Mike spent his summer prepping.... both in Oakland, California and at The Workout @ Covington (Kentucky), just across the Ohio River from downtown Cincinnati. Just before catching his flight out west, he stopped in for a final tune-up workout.... a Pre-Exhaust Shoulder Strength Training Routine.  Give the workout a try sometime! Or, stop in for a training session at Greater Cincinnati and the Midwest's  finest sports performance training center. In fact, today their were 11 current NFL football players going through strength training routines, footwork drills, and hitting the heavy bag.

ASAP's Ohio State Football Strength Training Documentary Video

ASAP Program Director Ted Lambrinides spent several years developing and training Buckeye football players during the 70's and 80's. He and ASAP Video Producer Ed Cicale are presently researching the evolution of the football strength and conditioning program and producing a DVD.... how the program commenced under coach Woody Hayes and then continued under coaches Earle Bruce and John Cooper. Thirty years later, Head Coach Jim Tressel's squad continues the tradition with a training program overseen by Director of Football Performance Eric Lichter.... a year round, intense regimen that prepares the squad for the rigors of a top ranked, nationally prominent program.
When completed, the educational ASAP Performance Video will take you behind the scenes of what has been one the nation's top football programs for over 100 years. You'll see the effort, the reps and sets, and tenacity required of today's Buckeye football players.

In today's video, you'll get a small sample of what it's like at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. Also, Coach Tressel and Coach Bruce give a testimonial about Ted Lambrinides.
