This ASAP Video on Interval Training was produced in East Lansing, Michigan with Michigan State University's Head Strength Coach Ken Mannie. He's into his 16th year at MSU and 27th working with NCAA Division 1 football players. Coach Mannie has worked with many championship level coaches over the years, including Nick Saban and present Spartan Head Football Coach Mark Dantonio. Mannie is on the ASAP Advisory Board.
Coach describes what Interval training is....how it works.... and why it is so effective. You'll also see a few Spartans running some "Half Gassers", which is running the width of the football field, touching the line with your foot, and then returning back to the original starting line..... for a total of 106 yards. Coach also explains what the desired times that need to be attained are... according to what position the athlete plays on the squad.
