While in East Lansing, we had the opportunity to hear from many fine coaches and see some Spartan football guys going through some intense training. But the coaches, athletic trainers and personal trainers in attendance picked up on some great sports nutrition information, too. Michigan State's Sports Nutrition expert Christine Bradd, who was one of the clinic's feature speakers, joined ASAP~Athletic Strength And Power's Ed Cicale for an ASAP~Podcast. Plenty of valuable information for all.
Christine oversees the sports nutrition needs of the MSU athletes including nutrition education, counseling, training tables, body composition analysis, and supplement evaluation as well as co-instructs a nutrition course and research. She's on the go....high energy... and a definite advantage for all of those Spartan athletes.
She's got an excellent coaching and athletic background...and is a Registered Dietitian (RD) with the American Dietetic Association (ADA). She is also Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association(NSCA), a Level One coach through USA Track and Field, and certified as a Club Coach through USA Weightlifting.
