Strength & Conditioning/Athletic Development New Jersey Clinic

The Pingry School in Martinsville, NJ is hosting the Strength & Conditioning/Athletic Development New Jersey Clinic. The speaker line-up looks solid. In fact, former Michigan championship strength coach Mike Gittleson has been added to the speaker list. In addition, interestingly, former Ohio State strength coach Allan Johnson (OSU National Championship 2002) will be speaking. If you're anywhere near New Jersey on June 25th... it would be in your best interest to get to this clinic. It should be a great learning experience. The "Exercise Bob" at the Ohio State University NSCA Clinic

While in Columbus, Ohio at the National Strength & Conditioning Assn (NSCA) Clinic, held at the Ohio State University, I got to see a great little strength training tool. The device is called the Exercise Bob. This thing isolates the musculature of the lower leg..... gastrocnemius, soleus, tibialis anterior and all the other smaller, intricate muscles of the foot. There's several exercises that one could perform while using "The Bob"..... this is definitely a nice piece to add to your training arsenal. Cincinnati Reds' Strength Coach Matt Krause...on Shoulder Strengthening

Cincinnati Reds Strength & Conditioning Coach Matt Krause and star pitcher Bronson Arroyo explained this shoulder strengthening routine to me a couple of years ago. It's a great way to get your shoulders, especially the rotator cuff region, prepared for some serious strength training....... or some throwing!
Krause, who isn't a native of Cincinnati, has certainly developed an affinity for one of the Queen City's favorites. And that is Skyline Chili. That's where the locals get their chili in the form of a "3-way," "4-way" and the ultimate "5-way." So, Matt aptly named this regular shoulder strengthening routine used in the workouts by the Cincinnati Reds players the:

"5-Way Shoulder Routine" .... it's Skyline Time!

ASAP Quarterback Training & Workout Sessions: Beginning June 4th, 2011

Starting on June 4th, 2011 at ASAP~at The River's Edge location, former NFL quarterback and ASAP trainer Tyler Sheehan has developed a program that combines speed and agility with quarterback skill training. The sessions will be on Saturday mornings.
