They're the same iconic checkerboard endzones emblazoned upon the football fields in Knoxville, Tennessee...home of the University of Tennessee Vols. Yet, they're cast under a new light since Head Football Coach Butch Jones has come to town. The new staff has embraced the Tennessee Volunteer past by opening their arms and facilities to the former players and lettermen who paved the way for one of the top winningest programs in all of college football.
There have been no games yet, but there's been plenty of winter strength training, high energy conditioning sessions and spring football. Spirits are high and for the new coaches, the whirlwind has yet to really slow down. But, that makes little difference to the Vols Football Director of Strength and Conditioning. Coach Dave Lawson knows all about the demands and high expectations of what Tennessee Football is all about. The mantra in Knoxville is basically... "we just wanna win." Lawson and his cohort, Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach Mike Szerszen, rolled up their sleeves when they arrived at their new $50,000,000 Vols Football training complex.... and it's been go-go-go ever since! So take a look at the photos and video from the Hammer Strength Clinic 2013 from Knoxville, Tennessee. This is truly one of the most impressive training centers that you'll find anywhere.
