Summer is just about here, so mark your calendars for June 28th & 29th 2013. That's when Kim Wood, retired Cincinnati Bengals Strength Coach, will conduct his annual Football Strength Clinic at the Cincinnati Cutural Arts Center....just about a mile from the University of Cincinnati.
Coach Wood has assembled an impressive speaker list for this clinic and we recorded this podcast to inform all of our followers and subscribers about this years' line-up.
A few weeks ago, I sat down with Wisconsin Football's new Strength & Conditioning Coach, Evan Simon. Basically, at the time, he had just arrived in Madison, surveyed the strength training complex, rolled up his sleeves, and then kicked off the winter conditioning program. There's a high school in Noblesville, Indiana where they have taken strength training and fitness to a whole new level. I had an opportunity to check out the new facility a few weeks ago while I was at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis. I attended the Hammer Strength strength and conditioning clinic in Noblesville several weeks ago. Located about 12 miles north of Indiana's capital city, lies the city of Noblesville and that's the home of the Noblesville Millers. The high school layout, grounds and architectural plan are remarkable. However, if you're any type of coach, whether that would be high school, collegiate or professional level, you would most likely be astounded if you were to tour the strength training facility there.
The facility is supervised by Brian Clarke, the school's Wellness Department Chairperson and Strength & Conditioning Coordinator. And it's within that impressive training center where he teaches strength training and general fitness courses.
The video takes an in-depth look at the training center and you'll hear from Coach Clarke, an articulate professional who takes training seriously. The students at Noblesville are fortunate to have him at the helm! And, as you'll see in the video, they even have their own app to help organize and motivate the students and athletes there. Very cool.
