Even in a northern state like Michigan, morning temperatures in the 50's and brisk winds don't blow through that often in mid August during the Detroit Lions Training Camp at their Allen Park, Michigan training center. But, that's the way it was on that day as I sported about five T-shirrts. Players brought out the cool weather gear and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach Jason Arapoff definitely emphasized proper warm-up on this particular morning. The Detroit Lions put a good practice together despite the chill and ASAP got a close-up look at guys like Calvin Johnson, Matt Stafford, Michael Bush and the big rookie Larry Warford.
Following practice, we headed inside for some pics of the expansive weight training center that's overseen by Arapoff and his Assistant Strength Coach Ted Rath. These two have the Lions in good shape as they make their run at the NFC North crown for 2013.

Also, be sure to check back on our ASAP website and ASAP Twitter feed toward the end of the season for updates on their Detroit Lions Strength & Conditioning Clinic which is usually held in February....and one of the better and most well organized clincs that you'll attend.
