Nashville, Tennessee: Capital City. Music City. Country Music Hall of Fame. There's a whole lot going on down there! I think of former NFL star Rocky Boiman. Rocky is presently a college football analyst and commentator. He was an ASAP "guy" who played for the Tennessee Titans the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Cincinnati St. Xavier High School.
I also think of The Pancake Pantry. This is a breakfast spot where it's not a problem to wait in a line for sometimes over forty-five minutes just to get seated! And, very worth the wait!! The pancake menu will blow your mind... I went with the Sweet Potato Pancakes. OMG.
There's also Rotiers Restaurant. Old school, family owned, diner atmosphere restaurant with a serious menu.... we're talking top 25 ranked burger in America. I chose the "Hamburger on French Bread" and a chocolate milkshake. A serious shake...the kind where they blend it in a large metal cup on a Hamilton Beach blender. Then, they pour into your glass and of course, there's a whole bunch more left for you in the metal cup, too.
Nashville is also known for some of its great academic institutions.....one of which is Vanderbilt University. An SEC ~ Southeastern Conference member, with a proud past and a distinguished reputation. We stopped in to see the Commodores' Strength & Conditioning program supervised by Dwight Galt. He's in his third year as the Director of Performance Enhancement for Vanderbilt Football on Head Football Coach James Franklin's staff. Galt was also with Franklin at The University of Maryland.
Interestingly, there are nearly forty current NFL players who have trained under Galt!
