ASAP~Athletic Strength And Power visited Villanova University during the off-season to check in on the changes and additions to their strength training programs. However, first I had to checkout Minella's Diner to get some proper nutrition as I made my way through Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania..... an unbelievably beautiful suburb of Philadelphia. I went with three eggs over easy (protein), pancakes (carbohydrates) and the turkey sausage (fats). They made sure that my coffee cup never got near empty and I had to pour down some chocolate milk! I planned on doing some sets of the Pit Shark while at Villanova and then an afternoon workout was planned at Mainline Fitness, so that I could try out the much heralded X-Force Strength Training Equiment with Roger Schwab.
From the diner, it was back on to Lancaster Avenue...past a Ferrari dealership, and over to 'Nova. That's where I met with Villanova Basketball Strength Coach....John Shackleton. He's got some very well planned workouts....and they are already paying off dividends! At post time of this writing, the Villanova Wildcats are 9-0. They just defeated their crosstown rival, St. Joe's and, oh yeah, they knocked off the #2 Ranked team in the nation Kansas Jayhawks last week. A pretty good week in Philly!
