Our trip up I-71N to Columbus went well until we came to a thirty minute virtual standstill. We never did see any reason for it...but that's the way it sometimes goes on the ASAP Summer road tour.
Anyway, we arrived early for the 5:45a.m. workout with the first group. There wasn't any student traffic on Olentangy Road at that hour, with the exception of some earlybird Ohio State Football squad members negotiating the rain and night darkness as they turned into the venerable Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
Coach Mick Marotti and his staff were well prepared as the Buckeye players started filing in. Coach Kenny Parker, Phil Matusz , Jeff Uhlenhake and newcomer Brady Collins were all set to go. As for the players, there's no doubt that this group of Buckeyes will have high expectations and will be making another run at a national championship. So they were ready for more of "The GRIND".
