Recently, ASAP~Athletic Strength And Power checked in to Starkville, Mississippi as we wanted to see how first year Head Strength Coach Nick Savage, the rest of his staff and the Bulldogs are doing as they prep for the 2016 college football campaign. Coach Savage, who took over following the departure of Rick Court to the University of Maryland, has the Mississippi State Bulldogs going full throttle as they head their way into another fiercely competitive SEC Football season. We caught the "Dawgs" on an "upper" day that also included a trip through the giant glass door out to the practice field for some dynamic warm-ups, agility work and finally some resistance runs with chains.
After the workouts were completed, Coach Savage and I sat down for this podcast (please excuse the technical issue with the microphones) and discussed the progress that the MSU Bulldogs have been making during the early 2016 year, day to day coaching matters and issues and how his particular journey has lead him, at the age of 27, to this high powered football team under the direction of Head Football Coach Dan Mullen.
