We made a trip to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to dig up what we could on the new happenings at the University of Pittsburgh. It's where Head Strength Coach Dave Andrews heads the football strength and conditioning program for the Pitt Panthers. He's a very organized and disciplined coach who instills these same values into his players and their workouts. It's easy to see how he's developed his style after examining who he's been around and who has influenced his career. For one, his playing days were spent following the coach who developed The Winner's Manual! Coach Jim Tressel headed the Buckeyes then and Dave had the good fortune to be in the Arizona desert the night the Buckeyes won a National Championship. He's also coached under Bob Huggins at the University of Cincinnati and also got a great coaching experience under Illinois Head Strength Coach Aaron Hillmann while working with The Fighting Illini. Then, prior to his Pittsburgh hiring, he spent some time at the University of Notre Dame, gaining some more valuable experience that left him prepared to take on the position with Head Football Coach Pat Narduzzi at Pitt.
