Congratulations is due to our longtime ASAP coaching colleague, Nick Savage who will accompany Head Football Coach Dan Mullen to Gainesville, Florida. Coach Savage has become the new Director of Strength & Conditioning for the Florida Gators Football team. He had held the same title with the Mississippi State Bulldogs, as well as assistant stints at Bowling Green State Univ, Ohio State, and the University of Toledo and also at Mississippi State. Coach Mullen had been able to bring in some major athletes and football stars to Mississippi State and Coach Savage played a key role in developing the players into exceptionally talented performers for the Bulldogs at "Hail State". Savage's strength training knowledge was able to flourish under the tutelage of Ohio State's Mickey Marotti and Maryland's Rick Court. Now, he's in charge of getting the Gator football squad prepped to to battle in the SEC East Division, where the Georgia Bulldogs and South Carolina Gamecocks lie in wait. And the frenzied fans at "The Swamp" would like nothing more than to revisit the kind of days experienced under Coach Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer.
Be sure to follow ASAP~Athletic Strength And Power for future updates as we'll be heading down to Gainesville to check in on how Nick Savage is helping to get the Gators' bite back!
