Coach Kim Wood spent thirty years as a coach with the Cincinnati Bengals. He was hired by the venerable founder and first coach of the @Bengals Paul Brown. Keep in mind that this was during the Bengals' hey day, as the team appeared in two Super Bowls, one of which San Francisco 49er stars Joe Montana and Jerry Rice led hall of fame type performances in the final minutes to take the win out of the grasp of the Cincinnati Bengals, quarterback Boomer Esiason and their head coach Sam Wyche. That left Kim Wood to reload the weightroom jukebox at the "spartan" Spinney Field weightroom and rearrange the power racks, wooden jerk boxes and Hammer Strength machines.
Coach Wood has been a regular guest for the ASAP Strength Podcast features and his most popular podcasts (all-time) PLAY tally continue to keep a narrow lead over Alex Marvez, SiriusXM NFL Radio host and Pro Football Hall of Fame voter. Kind of a big deal!
In this podcast, Kim Wood reminisces about the former Bengals coach Sam Wyche who recently succumbed to complications with melanoma.
We also discuss:
